We have tested a range of easy footpath walks, starting and finishing at The Swan Inn, Birlingham, Worcs. They are designed to help you work up a thirst and an appetite.
| Defford | A very pleasant amble - mainly on footpaths and through fields, to Defford Church, war memorial and Millennium Green and nature reserve. | 2½ miles 1¼ hours |

| Nafford Lock | A pleasant route through the village to Nafford Lock - where river Avon traffic climbs towards Stratford. | 2½ miles 1¼ hours |
| Bredon Hill | Bredon Hill, Banbury Stone Tower and Kemerton Ironage Hill Fort via Nafford Lock. Excellent exercise and an insprational view on a clear day. | 6¾ miles 3 hours |
| Strensham Lock | Circular riverside walk to Strensham and Nafford Locks via Eckington. A longer walk mainly on traffic free footpaths and with no hills. | 6½ miles 3 hours |
| Pershore Bridge | Circular riverside walk crossing the river at Nafford Lock and Pershore old bridge and visiting Great Comberton and Pensham. Mainly traffic free. Enjoy rural Worcester other folk don't know about. | 8¾ miles 4 hours |
