Start at Swan Inn Turn R (east) into Church Street and R towards Hall Farm where the lane turns left leaving the farm and its pond on your left. Cross the lane and follow the hollow way southwards. Follow the lanes L and R past the Manor House down the no-through-lane to Nafford Lock.

B From Nafford Lock follow the footpath south, and L onto Nafford Road. Where the road turns south climb the stile and follow the public footpath across the field towards Great Comberton. Keep keep close to the hedge when you reach it, and eventually between two hedges. Head for the nearest of a cluster of houses where a footbridge and stile lead to the Great Combrerton Road. Turn L (north) and right through Great Comberton village.

C About 50 metres before the war memorial on the north side of the village turn L down Quay Lane to the Avon. Turn R follow the public footpath beside the river in a north-westerly direction, taking the right fork when offered. Crossing a footbrige the footpath is diverted by a farm tip, so R beside a conifer plantation then sharp L away from glasshouses, and follow the field boundary. L round a second massive glasshouse and R into Pensham main street. At the far north of Pensham, under a chestnut tree, follow the markes public footpath R towards Pensham Hill, aiming for the stile at the corner of woods, leading to Pensham Road. L onto Pensham Road, and when you can, L into the "Pershore Bridges Picnic Area" which leads you under the busy Evesham road and across the Avon by the old bridge.

D Join the well marked Pershore Bridges Circular Walk westwards on the north bank of the river as far as the boat club where the river meets the A4014. Walk carefully beside the road for ¼ mile.

E Just before the crest of the hill, take the footpath branching L marked "Upper End". R at the Birlingham Road and back to The Swan Inn.
